Fork Lift Truck Certification – BITA List
Listed below are the different truck types recognised by HSE and the British Industrial Truck Association.
The list was compiled by the British Industrial Truck Association (http://www.bita.org.uk) and is commonly referred to as the BITA List.
Please refer to your training certification(s) to obtain the BITA code for your training, this should be clearly marked ie. A2, B3, F1 etc. Reference this code to the BITA List to conclude your training qualifications.
To operate a truck of different BITA code will require a conversion course .
Operating a truck for which you do not hold an authorisation could lead to disciplinary action.
